I may be biased, but this little girl is my favorite subject to photograph. She’s my incredibly beautiful, happy, feisty, trouble-making daughter. I wasn’t in the biz yet when my son was born and I wish I had taken more pictures of him (even though I do have a lot. They just don’t look that great). I told myself when my daughter was born that I’d make sure to capture her and my son in all their milestones, as well as around the house just doing every day things. (My son has another plan. He’s starting to not like taking pictures… at all) I’ve been getting better at capturing them doing day to day things, but I’m far worse at sorting through the images and editing them. When it comes to my own images, I try to minimally retouch their images for timing purposes. I did make a promise to myself that it wasn’t fair to me. So, from now on, I’d go through their pics right away and try to go back to the ones I haven’t yet and start getting them done.
I had actually purchased the pink outfit for her 1st birthday pictures but I started to realize that it may not fit by then so I decided to use it for her 9 months. I absolutely love the way these images came out. They show so many of the every day faces she does. She was super cranky and sleepy, but she was still an awesome sport. I love her and my son more than words can ever describe. I hope one day they treasure these memories as much as I do.
She was super excited about this chair. She was giddy to be on it!
I bought the glitter backdrop as a newborn prop but loved the way it looked as a background so I decided to use it with her and love the way it came out.
I absolutely LOVE this image both in color and black and white. I had to post both!
I think from this point foward she was delirious with sleepiness…
This is and will be one of my all time favorite images of her!
Another favorite which will be a metal print on my wall soon!
You can tell here she was over it with the sticker… really over it!
