Carolyn, Jason and I met over a year ago for their wedding consultation. Jason works with my husband and I was honored they were considering me to do their special day. I was even happier when they told me they chose me to do their wedding. They chose to not include the reception in the pictures. They wanted pictures from before the ceremony up the the cocktail hour, but no reception. At time time I offered per hour wedding coverage (I actually no longer offer this, just wedding day packags) so you will see there aren’t any reception images, other than the details. Their wedding was simple, but filled with family, love and laughs. They were married at St. Francis de Sales in Miami Beach and celebrated their nuptuals at the Marriot South Beach. They are super adorable and in love and I wish them a lifetime of happiness and many more laughs!
Enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day.
Carolyn showed me the Save the Date and asked that we recreate the shot, but in their wedding dress and suit. Of course we went to the exact same location and did so (picture further below).
I saw her mom had something crumbled for most of the getting ready pictures. I notice she put it down and saw it had words on it. I quickly spread it out and took a shot. Absolutely loved it!
Right after the pictures above, the priest informed me the flash had to be off throughout the ENTIRE ceremony, something really typical of cathedral, catholic churches. This is why it’s so important a professional is involved. I luckily have great lenses for low-light situations and had to alter all images inside the church for white balance corrections. So, all of the images in the church from now on were taken with absolutely no flash.
I wish I knew what he was telling her, because her face is priceless!
And, here is the shot from the wedding date…
Here are some of the details of the reception before I left.
Finally, we snuck back up to their room for some final shots.
