Oh man, it’s been an emotional week for me. Exactly one week from today, my little chubster will be one! Where did the past year go? We didn’t realize how complete she made our lives until we met her. I won’t get too sappy on here but I did want to share some of my favorite shots from her sessions (yes, I said sessions). I had seven outfits and I knew I couldn’t just do a marathon on her on one day. She behaved so well and really showed her personality.
As we go along, I will share some fun facts, mommy comments and vendor details so here we go!
I first started out doing some studio shots at home. I wanted something fun! I can’t take all the credit for this set as I saw it on pinterest and fell in love!
Sparkly Pink Backdrop: Roses & Ruffles
Ballons and Tissue Pom Poms: Party City
Headband: Spoiled N Sweet
Pink and Teal Tutu Set: It’s actually from a boutique store that doesn’t exist and I’m not sure what the brand is.
Cupcake Outfit: Mudpie
Cake Headband/Hat: Mudpie
Doesn’t she look THRILLED to be holding the balloon LOL
Luckily, we were able to capture this shot before she decided to throw herself off the chair.
“Eating pearls is so much fun, mom!”
In love with this pic!
These three are among my top favorites. Whenever she is shy, she pivots her head to her shoulder just like below and laughs, especially when talking to boys. We’re in DEEP trouble!
This same day we headed to the park. My daughter’s birthday party theme is Vintage Hot Air Balloons (Can’t wait to capture and share the party). Of course I had to make my hot air balloon 😉
Location: Amelia Earhart Park
All items purchased in either Target or Michael’s
Headband and Pink Tutu: SpoiledNSweet
Hot Air Balloon Onesie: The African Llama
I could never forget about my little hunk! He was there the whole time behind the scenes but he’s not such a happy camper in front of the camera any more (wonder why? 😉 LOL), but he was very happy to participate in letting go of the balloon…
And then he decided to have a dance party… he LOVES to dance especially with mommy 😉
This next outfit was given to my girl by her aunt and uncle on Christmas and I was dying to photograph her in it because they are very special people and well, the outfit is adorable. So, I finally tried it on and it fit! It’s from Macy’s but I can’t remember the brand.
You can tell here she was reaching her limit…
Another one of my favorites below 🙂
Here he is again. Seriously, I’m totally smitten by this kid!
Super sweaty and red from playing in the park with his grandpa, but still totally adorable!
This concluded day 1 LOL Yes, there is more and trust me, I saved the best for last!
I’ve had my eye on a couple of vintage pieces from the amazing Mi Vintage Rental Company and couldn’t wait to use them for my daughter. Liz is always a pleasure to work with and so very helpful. Seriously, they have some amazing stuff so check them out!
I will post the vendors I know, but some I have no clue.
Carousel Horse, Pink Chair, Teal Luggage, & Green, White and Teal backdrop form: Mi Vintage Rental Company
Birthday Princess Tutu set: Mudpie
Vintage Romper: SpoiledNSweet
Pink Garland: Handmade by Jennifer Chase
Birthday Facts sign: designed and printed by yours truly
Cake: The Sweet Stuff (I just started working with them since they are both clients of mine and seriously, YUMMY stuff! Check them out!
And a very special thank you to my cousin, Suzy. She endured the heat with us and made sure Kailey was safe at all times while mommy took pictures. Seriously! I can’t thank her enough!
Ok, enough chatting, here there are…
Isn’t this piece a beauty?!!!
This is something else she loved to do. She’s always “chilling” with her arms behind her neck.
I think she’s starting a trend here…
Loved this one in color and black and white so I had to post both.
This might be one of my favorites!
Here’s the adorable cake The Sweet Stuff did for me and they will be doing again for her birthday party along with other goodies!
I thought she would totally dig in but clearly, that wasn’t the case.
Hope you all enjoyed listening to me ranting and sharing in these memories with me. I had a blast creating these and capturing them, but I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty relieved I won’t have to do this until next year 😉
