I noticed not too long ago that I blog a LOT of my sessions, but I never properly blogged the amazing weddings I’ve shot. I am changing that this year because I want to make sure my blog and website represent me a little more as a wedding photographer.
When I first started, my work flow was a little different. Now, I use this amazing company called ShootQ. It’s super easy, convenient and doesn’t let you forget any of the steps assigned to each session, wedding or event. Additionally, my workflow in Lightroom has become much more efficient so now I offer entire weddings all edited. Before, I would only edit X amount of images which the couple selected (silly, I know).
I know this blog is over a year late, but I recently finished editing my favorites along with their selections.
I shot Stephanie & Ted’s Wedding in June 2012. It’s one of my favorite weddings I’ve shot to date. They were such a sweet, easy-going couple. They are from Los Angeles, California and Stephanie’s mom helped plan the wedding here in Miami. I met with her and she booked me shortly after. I actually didn’t meet Stephanie and Ted until the week of the wedding. The moment we met, we hit it off right away. I knew photographing their wedding would be a dream and I definitely wasn’t disappointed.
From the colorful flower arrangements to her stunning dress and shoes, not a detail was left out. Stephanie and her bridesmaids dressed at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel and were snuck in some bridal portraits before heading to the ceremony.
Guests arrived at the beautiful Deering Estate for the ceremony overlooking the ocean. It was one HOT summer day, but the lighting and ceremony could not have been more perfect or full of love. They also had some refreshments to help them cool down during the ceremony.
The guests later enjoyed cocktail hour outdoors while a guitarist played for them and then danced the night away in the amazing Deering Estate Hall.
My favorite part of this wedding was that Stephanie and Ted realized how important pictures were on their special day. We kept escaping outdoors for a few intimate photo shoots of them. They are so adorable with each other. Sometimes I had to look away because I felt like each of their kisses and touched were so intimate. I never gave them any direction. I just let them be themselves and just snapped away.
I hope to receive more vendor information in the next couple of weeks to add to this blog as well as submit to publishing, but I couldn’t hold on these images any longer. Enjoy and Happy (late) 1 Year Anniversary to Stephanie & Ted!
