Halloween Minis are one of my favorites to do! I just love the colors of fall and the cute kiddies getting dressed up. This year I opted for just one set that would work for both fall outfits or Halloween costumes. With the fabulous help of Mi Vintage Rentals, my set was a big success this year. Their indian cart, barrel, wood bench and teal crate really gave the set that special fall touch! Thanks again Liz for your great products!
I’d thought I’d share a little bit of each family and our adventures that day…
I started the day with some pictures of little miss Ava and her cousin. They were the cutest peacock and good witch ever! Ava always brings lots of sass and fun to my minis and her cousin is about the sweetest little thing with the nicest smile. They both were a treat to start the day off with.
Next up that morning was Christopher dressed as Woody. I’m a sucker for green and blue eyes in case you didn’t know, especially on boys. When I first met him for his 1st birthday session, I was already a puddle of goo, add an adorable Woody costume and I’m not sure how I made it through the session without melting.
Then the blue eyes and handsome boys continued with Christian. He’s normally a much more serious ham but for some reason he was super giddy that morning and gave us tons of smiles, maybe because he just woke up from his nap? Who knows! I’m just happy I captured his sweet smile for his adorable parents.
Then Katelyn, I mean Sofia the First arrived. It took her a bit to warm up, but when she did, she made sure to recite all the names of the Bubba Guppies (If you have kids, you know what cartoons those are) and cracked smile after smile for us. Doesn’t she kinda look like Sofia too? Oh yeah, more blue eyes!
I had the pleasure of meeting the Larrazaleta family for the first time and what a cute, fun family they are! First off, their outfits were PERFECT! This is exactly what I mean when I tell families, stay within in the same colors, but don’t fully match. They didn’t need much guidance or help because they knew when to smile.
The last cutie to join me for the morning sessions was this cute little devil hee hee. She gave me angles, she gave me poses and she gave me so much cuteness! I can see why her mom and dad are totally gaga over her!
Later that day began my afternoon marathon of 9 more minis. First up was Daniela as Minnie Mouse. She has the cutest and funniest expressions and those lips! Swoon!
Another little cowboy joined the party that day. He has the cutest little dimples and sweet personality. He adored throwing the pumpkins and playing with them.
And then, these two special princesses arrived. I may be biased about how cute they are because their mommies are two of my best friends. My little ones get to grow up with them and I couldn’t be happier! Snow White Allie has THE most expressive eyes and such a cute little personality and Cinderella Gigi has the most beautiful blue eyes and yummiest cheeks. Oh and you can’t tell from the pictures but she has the SOFTEST skin EVER. I seriously just want to cuddle with them every time I see them. Luckily, I don’t only see them for pictures because then we would all be in big trouble!
These next set of photos made me laugh so hard while I was there and looking over them as well. This is pretty much how it went down…
Cinderella: “I love you Snow White! You are the best cousin.”
Snow White: “Why is she laying on me? Can someone tell her I don’t like anyone laying on me…”
Snow White: “Get Off Me please! Can’t you see I’m trying to be fabulous?”
Cinderella: “Why is she the fairest one of us all!?! Doh!” LOL
I can’t even deal with my little Allie and her face!!! lol
Another special family joined the fun. These are my cousins (sort of LOL). I had never photographed them before so I wasn’t really sure how the kids would respond to knowing me and now me taking their pics but there were no issues at all. They both smiled and laughed with me and helped me capture some great family pics for them.
Oh Julian, Julian! You’re in for a real treat with your parents and me. I’ve been lucky enough to have found a select few of loyal clients that have become friends. Steicy and Chris have been there for me since the very beginning! I’m honored I’ve photographed their engagement photos, wedding, trash-the-dress, maternity, Julian’s newborn, 3 Months, 6 Months, Halloween Mini and coming up his 9 Months, Christmas Mini and 1st Birthday Session. I just adore working with them because there is NEVER a dull moment. If we aren’t swimming in ocean, we’re running through the rain and of course sticking a baby in a pot! When Steicy told me… “Hey, can I bring a pot? Julian is going to be a lobster for Halloween.” Guess what my answer was? “DUH!!!”
Wouldn’t you have the same face below if you were in this hot suit? LOL
The Flinstones family later arrived. I just love when families dress up too. These will be such amazing memories when their babies grow up. Pebbles loved taking pictures with her family, but her solo pics, not so much. Good thing mom and dad dressed up for the occasion 🙂
Then Bamm! Bamm! joined the party and brought so much cuteness to my day! His chocolate brown eyes and smile are intoxicating. You can’t help but smile and laugh with him!
P.S. He isn’t related to the Flinstones family that arrived before
He gave me a thumbs up! LOL
Look at that over-the-shoulder look. MELTING!
I am always so honored when my friends ask me to photograph them. It’s hard sometimes because you want to make sure they see you as Cary the professional photographer and not Cary the goofball from high school, but I think I do a pretty good job at drawing the line (even though I’m still a good ball). I’ve been photographing the Castillo family since I started out. In fact, big brother Jacob was my very first lifestyle newborn session that I did for free to build my portfolio! He was a dream and I’m so happy they are still with me as friends and clients. I’ve known Jenny since 3rd grade! She was one of the very few that showed my kindness when I transferred schools in the middle of a school year and I’ll never forget it. Her husband Jorgy and her have been dating for years, like 7th or 8th grade so he’s a special guy to me too. I can’t believe they now have two beautiful boys and they have gotten so big! You may recognize little brother as my little police officer newborn on my website 🙂
And last but not least, the Donadio family finished off the fun. Little Miss Celine though wasn’t too happy the party was ending. Sandy and her family came with some great fall colors to the session.
Thank you to each of these families for coming out and spending the day with me. I hope you love your memories and you enjoy a very Happy Halloween and fall season! Until next year <3
