So there’s quite a back story to this session.
To make a long story short, Christina was approached by a company she works with to be featured in the company’s brochure which is distributed nationwide to the companies they work with. They asked her if she knew a photographer (they aren’t located in Florida) and she very nicely recommended me since I’ve done their babies’ photos since they were both born. Well, the company checked out my website, contacted me and hired me for the job!
I was super excited because as some of you may know, one of my goals for 2014 was to get published in print. When I set this goal, I always imagined it would be some sort of feature that I’d be picked up for through my submissions on Two Bright Lights. I’d never imagine it would be for an actual paid job.
The company representatives and I discussed the format and look the images should portray. They wanted a natural, fun, laid-back session on the beach that showcased the family just having moments. They wanted to limit the “smile, look at the camera photos”.
I typically don’t shoot beach sessions in the mornings, but based on availability it left me no choice. I really couldn’t have asked for better lighting, colors and weather. It was a bit on the cold side for poor little Benjamin and Lucas, but they handled it so, so well.
I think the Espino family had a blast and shared in some really special and sweet moments. What do you all think?
