This post can’t be properly introduced without a little history. So let’s get started…
A long, long time ago (LOL), my father worked as a manager for my uncle’s restaurant (Blue Sky, maybe you’ve heard of it?). Anyway, between my husband’s father and this quinceanera’s uncle, they owned Tony’s Banquet Hall in Hialeah at different times in their lives. Blue Sky and Tony’s Banquet Hall worked together for many years and my parents, my husband’s parents and this quinceanera’s grandparents created a close friendship. I actually went as a little girl to this quinceanera’s parent’s wedding!!! Small world right?
Now, let’s fast forward to my own quinces. I had them at Tony’s Banquet Hall. However, by the time I had my party, it was sold to other owners but the DJ remained the same. Take a guess who the DJ was? MY HUSBAND! No, that’s not where our story began, just funny how our lives were always touched without knowing what the future would hold.
Well many years later, I met my husband through some friends and we became friends. A few months after, we started dating. At our wedding (here is where Isabella, the quinceanera comes in), Isabella was only 6 years old! She kept following me around the wedding reception asking me if I was a real life princess and wanting to cater to me hand and foot. She seriously would ask me if I was hot, thirsty or hungry and she would run and get what she thought I needed. It was the CUTEST thing EVER!
As life gives us some funny and interesting turns, here I was following around this beautiful, grown up princess on her special night last Saturday. I felt so honored and privileged that her parents hired me to capture such an important night in their daughter’s life. She looked so beautiful and it was evident how much time and effort her parents and her put into this party. The cake was AMAZING! I think it was the tallest cake I’ve ever photographed! I had to stand on a chair to capture the top layers. The centerpieces were beautiful and the party was a hit! Here are some of my favorite shots from the night!
Seriously! Look at that cake!!!
Yes, I’m on a chair to capture the numbers!
So Isabella’s dad, brother and uncles surprised the guest with their version of the YMCA dance LOL
Right after, it was HORA LOCA TIME!
I had to jump into a photo with my husband lol
