If you follow me on my social media pages, you may have noticed that I was in Minnesota this past weekend. I was blessed to participate in the Creative Captures Workshop with the fabulous ladies of Jennifer Nace Photography & Caralee Case Photography. I have followed and admired their work for such a long time that I felt like I was experiencing a dream.
I actually signed up for this workshop a couple of years ago and shortly after found out I was pregnant with my 3rd. I sadly wasn’t able to make it then but I knew I HAD to attend at some point. Last year, I saw the 2017 dates they offered and signed up as soon as one worked with my schedule.
I am so, so happy that I embarked on this journey. I was nervous at first because I had never traveled on my own. I have to say it was one of the highlights of my trip, apart from the obvious photography part of it. It was amazing to experience a new town, meet new people, explore, and cherish in memories I’ll forever remember.
This workshop is 2 days and specializes in newborn and children studio photography. If you didn’t know, I just recently created a space at my home for my studio and home office and really wanted to focus on it during the beginning parts of the year. I really learned so much about colors, newborn posing, workflows, editing, etc. (Secrets of the trade that I will keep to myself.) 😉
During the workshop, we had the pleasure of meeting some ADORABLE models! We were able to take some quick shots of them and I was so happy we did! I brought all of the shots home and really practiced and analyzed these photos, setups and editing techniques. I wanted to share just a few of my favorite shots from my trip. These set ups were done by Jennifer & Caralee but I can’t wait to start doing customized set ups for my clients!
