This session has been months in the making. A while back my wonderful nail artist, Lin from Nails by Lin, reached out to me and asked me to collaborate with her and a team of other vendors for a shoot. I thought about it for a bit and agreed this would be a fun project. I wanted to do a project that would just be fun, different and really a good old time. I brought along my sweet friend since 3rd grade, Amy. She’s the owner of Fashion House Boutique in Miami Lakes because I knew her clothing and accessories would not disappoint.
I wanted to do a Cuban themed shoot in Little Havana. I had visited the area a couple of times and loved the culture that was infused in just a few blocks.
We had our amazingly beautiful main model, Beily, who couldn’t have done a better job. She was so great in front of the camera with just the right level of sass! Then we had 4 other hand models to show off the designs Nails by Lin created (seriously, amazing!). Beily’s make up was beautifully done by Debbie D Make Up and her incredible hair style changed for each look by the fabulous Alessandra Valbuena.
We started out the session at Azucar with some hand shots while our main model was getting into her first look. If you’ve never been to Azucar, you’re seriously missing out. Their “Abuela Maria” flavor is just so yummy (vanilla ice cream with galleticas de maria and guava).
I’m OBSESSED with this dress from Fashion House. What an adorable summer must have, right? And those yellow earrings are PERFECTION!
So if you know me and follow my work, you know I love unicorns. Well, I also love pineapples LOL I love the new pineapple trend! <3 (Don’t miss out on the nails!)
Ball & Chain is one of my faves in Little Havana as well. They have some little Moro bite size fritters of some sort. Soooo GOOD!
We did another little pit stop at Domino park while Beily got into her 2nd look to take some photos of Lin’s next hand model.
That dress! That hair! Love this outfit!
I just love the old man with the guayabera walking behind her.
We stopped for a few minutes at a local cigar bar and Beily slipped into another fab outfit.
In the same shopping center as the cigar bar is this super amazing bar/restaurant, Cubaocho.
It had an amazing little hidden garden type lounge.
And finally, Beily cooled down with a Mojito. 😉
After out amazing session, we headed over to a local restaurant called Old Havana for dinner and it was so so yummy!!!
